Wow, it’s always great to know your local community supports your race, but it’s even better when folks at the other end of the county catch wind and want to get involved!
Click after the break to read more about MCC and their goal to build a bike park in Mendocino…
The Mendocino Coast Cyclists are a club of cycling enthusiasts located in picturesque Mendocino. The MCC is working towards creating the first Bike Park on the Coast. They’re in the planning and fundraising stages of creating a combination Pump Track/Skills Park in the City of Fort Bragg. The City and community is heartily behind their efforts. They have a designer/builder on board in Alpine Bike Parks; Judd de Vall, their founder, grew up in Mendocino and is thrilled at the opportunity to create an intro to mountain biking in his former hometown.
They’re currently fundraising toward a goal of raising $3,600 for Alpine Bike Park’s ParkStart program, which will allow them to prepare the conceptual drawings that they need to raise more funds and begin the process with the City’s Planning Department.
As part of MCC’s volunteer contribution to The Bite Hard we’re donating $250 to the cause and we’ll be asking for donations to this cause along side Cycked on our race registration page. All racers to register online for the Bite Hard on bikereg.com will have the opportunity to help support these two awesome causes!!
